I use to think a major record company was needed to sell music. LOL! Music is digital, listeners are online. I sell my own music. And so should you. Don’t be another famous rapper that can’t pay her bills. Do something.

Listen up people, if you are just hell bent on signing with a Major Label, not a problem, but that doesn’t help escape your online responsibilities. It’s a curiosity to any record company, why, if your music is so good, haven’t you sold anything. The internet is up 24/7, the market is there waiting with billions online now. So why haven’t you presented your product and made any sells.

The reality is, if your music is any good, the majors will see and hear of your progress and contact you. But please don’t have the misconception that if you blow up in your hometown, they will hear of you, they will CARELESS. Majors don’t care about your chic-lin circuit success, what they care about are numbers, sells.

If you go up to any label and cheer on about how you’ve toured with the group and open for this act and performed in front of a total of 3.3 million people in the last year and been on the radio station in 15 major cities, they are going to ask you, why did you do all that and not sell one record, your music must not be any good.
